My beautiful kitty Cici has her own page now!

Me This is my college senior picture. I look exactly the same as I did in my high school senior picture, taken 5 years earlier.  I can't decide if this is good or bad.  As of now, this picture is about 3 1/2 years old.  It gives you a basic idea of what I look like-- although I HATE lipstick, I don't curl my hair anymore, it's a bit shorter.... but it gives you the general idea.

Me in a box This is my favorite picture of me. I have no idea why.

Me in a Tri-Star This was so awesome... the co-pilot let me sit in the cockpit while he took the picture.

San Francisco, May 2001

My birthday present to myself (haha) was a trip to San Francisco. I went with my 3 co-workers/friends, Cara, Gary, and Lora.  We had a blast!
We spent one day hanging out at Pier 39 and the surrounding area.  First, the cable car ride.  Yes, it's touristy but ya gotta do it.  Here's moi, and Gary and Lora while we're on the car.
It was cloudy (shocking!).  The Golden Gate bridge is in the background... here's a picture of me, then Cara, Lora, and Gary in two cute pictures.
Cara bounded on top of a wooden post and the other two humored me...
Here are all the boats in the harbor.  I just thought this was a cool shot.
And... there are sea lions at this pier (I think it was 34) that come to nap every day.
We made it to the Ghiradelli factory (only to leave, because there were entirely too many people there), saw a Hummer limo, the top of Lombard Street, and Lora tried to do the stick-your-legs-out-while-hanging-onto-a-pole trick-- it obviously didn't work.
Random shots of San Francisco city streets as taken from a cab (this one trying to capture the dramatic DOWNhill slope).  As my mom so eloquently said... you just can't capture that city in pictures.

We went to the aquarium and I was surprised that these three pictures came out.. two pics of an octopus and one of a billion-strong (well.. -ish) school of fish.

We went out to a pub one night, and this is the result... Cara and Gary were exhausted but Lora, her friend Eric, and I were going strong.  Cara and Lora have a cute pic here.  More to come here, but they're still in my camera =P

We went to Golden Gate Park... which is absolutely huge.  Here's Cara and Lora, this is the type of thing we were seeing on the path (to drunkenness.. you'll see in a sec).

A cool green building (with the TransAmerica building on the left in the background),
Cara and Lora on the way to a brewery, Cara and her friend Eric at the brewery, Lora with her friend Nick (far left) and his friend Lee, a drunk group of people... Lora, Mike, me (in Mike's lap), his friend Adam, and Cara's friend Melissa.  At the end of this night we ended up at an Italian restaurant but none of us remember these two pictures.

Boston, April 2001

I spent way too much money but it was certainly worth it!  I had a great time, made some new friends and got to hang out with some old friends too.
This is the Paul Revere statue in northern Boston (the North End).  Behind it is the Old North church and directly in front of that is a fountain.
The Holocaust Memorial in Boston is situated near Government Center in downtown.  All around the memorial, there are bars, noisy streets, construction, and lots of pedestrians.  But as you walk through these hollow pillars with walls of etched-glass (one representing each concentration camp, with the numbers of each person in the camp etched on the corresponding glass)-- there is a silence-- right there in the middle of the city, a howling silence that is eerie and profound.

I met up with Jonathan, Rebecca, and their mom Carolyn (I used to babysit these two great and very adorable kids!).  We met in Coolidge Corner, located in an affluent area of Boston called Brookline.

I used to go through South Station every day on the way to and from work.  I frequented Au Bon Pain, which is where these three great guys (L2R: Karim, Nouredine, Akim) work.  They're from Morocco-- very generous, kind people.
This is my friend Nouredine... and me.

Now the party..... I just happened to come in town on a weekend where some old co-workers and friends were having a house-warming party.  Which translates to house-warming drunken lick-fest.  But anyway...
Alex, Megan, Kellian, Jackie (the roomies)
Roomies plus Andy
Insatiably irresistibly cute Casey and Belinda (I stayed with them)
Those two... plus me (YAY great pic!)
(Theresa) Tree, Heather, Kristen... drunk & happy
Then a little later on, I caught them again.. Tree, Marbree, Kristen
Todd, Dave, Megan, Jackie, Jimmy
Me, Andy
Again... just a little closer this time
Insatiably irresistibly cute Casey... licking me?
Finally... a great pic of a very cool woman named Belinda and me when we're on the way back to her apt. after the party.

Friends

Cricket the cat She's an albino Siamese, and we've had her in the family since 1985. She's old, but she owns the house, and she knows she's in charge. If you happen to forget this, she'll be more than happy to remind you. Did I mention she's spoiled?

Tummy, high on catnip.  He is our oldest cat-- we've had him since early 1985, when he just innocently jumped into my sister's VW bug (yeah right...she's well-known for saving animals).  He went to kitty heaven in May 2001.

Jamilya!  She's got a wig on..... obviously... but this picture just captures her attitude (J you KICK ASS!)
Here's another one of Jamilya... with that shit-eatin' grin that I love!

Patty This is one very cool woman! She's a sweetheart, and she's from Texas. Isn't she a cutie?
Patty where are you?  I miss you, come back to me!

All right... here is a wonderful man named Russ (what a hottie!)
This lady offered to take a picture of
us standing in this outdoor chapel in Maine. Russ thought she meant with her camera...
In case you've ever wondered, here's the
Bush estate in Kennebunkport, ME
Here in the White Mountains in New Hampshire, we started a trend of cars pulling over at this spot and taking advantage of the
photo op. But nobody was cool enough to have a Jeep like Russ's...
He'll probably kill me for posting this
pic, but I love it. That's my hair clip in his hair (that I so gracefully dropped down a sewage drain a couple of days later...)

Graduation day This is, as you might guess, me with Mom, Dad, and Diploma.  May 1998.
Me, Nick, Sangeeta Two good friends of mine. Sangeeta is the one I talk to when I need to have my head screwed on straight (which is often). She's an awesome person.

Key West! Ted, Lindsay, and Katie 3 of my Delta (Delbert!) Air Lines friends. Miss you guys!!!
Southernmost Tip of the US is of course in Key West.
